Sharing your experience with a language partner can be rewarding and helpful for the whole Tandem community!
Here's how you can leave a reference for someone you've connected with:
- Look for the prompt:
- After you've had a good amount of interaction through messages, we'll send you a prompt inviting you to leave a reference.
- This prompt is our way of nudging you to share your feedback, but feel free to leave a reference whenever you feel ready.
- References after a call:
- If you've had an audio or video call with someone, you'll also have the opportunity to leave a reference afterwards.
What to include in your reference:
- Be honest and constructive: Share your honest experience in a constructive manner. Whether it's praising their patience, language skills, or the interesting conversations you had, let others know what makes this partner great!
- Respectful and kind: Remember our Community Principles – keep your references respectful and kind.
Why leave a reference?:
- It's a nice way to appreciate and acknowledge your partner's effort and contribution to your language learning journey.
- Your insights help others in the community make informed decisions about who they might want to connect with next.
Ready to share?
Just tap on the prompt when it appears, and you'll be guided through a simple process to leave your reference.
We're excited to see the connections and progress you're making on Tandem. Your references make our community stronger and more vibrant!
