Need to manage who you interact with on Tandem? Whether for privacy, comfort, or personal reasons, blocking and unblocking members is straightforward.
How to block Someone:
- From their profile:
- Tap the warning mark (!) at the top right corner.
- Select "Block."
- From a chat:
- Click the three dots in the top right corner of your chat.
- Choose “Block.”
Remember: If someone is going against our Tandem Community Principles, please do let us know by reporting them. We're all about maintaining a respectful and safe space for language learning.
How to unblock someone:
- On iOS or Tandem Web:
- Go to Profile > Following > Blocked. Tap on the member you would like to unblock.
- On Android:
- Navigate to Profile > Settings > Blocked (found under the Privacy section).
A note on privacy:
- When you block someone, they won't be able to send you messages anymore. However, they might still see your profile in Language Parties, which are public spaces in Tandem.
Your experience on Tandem is yours to shape. Blocking and unblocking are tools at your disposal to customize who you interact with, ensuring your language learning journey is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
