We understand that not every reference left by others may align with your expectations. Here’s how you can address a reference you're not satisfied with:
1. Communicate with the member in question:
- If you feel comfortable, reach out to the member who left the reference. A polite message explaining your perspective can often lead to a mutual understanding. They might consider revising their reference.
2. When to report:
- If the reference violates our Community Principles, please don't hesitate to use the reporting function.
- Our Community Safety Team will review the situation and take appropriate actions.
Why can't I delete a reference?
- References are a core part of the Tandem experience, offering insights and feedback from your language learning journey.
- While they can't be deleted, we ensure that every reference adheres to our guidelines for respect and appropriateness.
How to report:
- Unfamiliar with the reporting process? No worries. You can find detailed steps on how to report someone here.
Remember: The Tandem community is built on respect, kindness, and constructive feedback. We're here to support a positive and enriching language learning environment for everyone.
